Café Zen has got to be one of the most vegetarian-friendly restaurants in Baltimore. C'mon, they've got tofu eight different ways here. And most of their myriad Chinese dishes, from sha cha to moo shu to kung pao, are available in vegetarian versions. It's great to see a restaurant taking seriously the great Chinese tradition of vegetable dishes, serving terrific garlic spinach and string beans rolled in scallion pancakes in place of the generic-veggies-in-gloppy-sauce most places try to get away with. Everything here is cooked crisp-tender with light, flavorful sauces, demonstrating a knowledgeable kitchen staff who cares about the food they create.
"Outstanding Sushi, Japanese, Thai and Asian Cafe in Columbia area. Fine dinning room offer cold, warm, hot sake and beer, wine, liquor. The daily chef special running thr the dinning room in addition of happy hour buy one get one free liquor drink offer. I would say it's a nice plcae to try out."
"Famous Cantonese, Szechuan & Hunan Cuisine in Baltimore!"
Beautifully fresh sushi and sashimi are offered side by side with Cantonese, Hunan, and Szechuan fare. Try the lunch or dinner sushi buffet, the all-Chinese early-bird special, or sushi to go at $9.95 a pound.
"Vegetarians, we have lots of options for you - check out the Vegetarian and Monk's Special menus. If you're looking for the best China Express has to offer, try the Peking Duck. You won't be disappointed!"
You know you're at a real-deal Chinese restaurant when the fish tanks aren't for decoration but rather choosing tonight's dinner. Chinatown Café serves righteously authentic food, and it's currently the city's only dim sum dining option. The best time for dim sum is on weekends when carts roll around with steamer baskets full of tempting treats like curried cuttlefish and shark-fin dumplings, but the dim sum menu is always available. Standouts include Chinese broccoli, green peppers stuffed with minced shrimp in black bean sauce, and truly amazing beef ribs in a deep-heat black pepper sauce. If the menu seems overwhelming or unfamiliar, ask the friendly owner for advice. BYOB.

"A Chinese restaurant with the taste of Chinese and Asian food. Around lunch time they have a buffet with good Chinese food and for dinner time the buffet is closed and the dine-in is nice. The seafood dish is not like most Chinese restaurant--the shrimp is bigger then most."
Dim Sum menu offered 11 a.m.-3 p.m. seven days a week.
Restaurant serves Cantonese, Szechuan, and American dishes. Take-out available. Cash only.
