Eager-to-please little Amer's Café uses its wood-burning oven to excellent ends. Witness the fluffy, puffy, fresh-baked pita bread that accompanies the silky, garlic-scented baba ghanouj, tender schwarmas, and other Middle Eastern specialties, or the delectably crispy-crusted pizzas. Each of Amer's individually named flavors of pizza ventures far beyond boring tomato sauce and cheese; one favorite is the piquant Dahb, made with tangy marinated eggplant, roasted red peppers, pickled peppers, sun-dried tomatoes and lots of garlic. Add belly dancers every Friday and Saturday night and the house policy of letting kids make their own pizzas and you've got a recipe for fun. BYOB.
Old-style, outdoor seafood house.
"Azul 17 Mexican Cuisine & Tequila Lounge brilliantly personifies the restaurant-lounge concept with its sophisticated offering & modern design. The contemporary décor is complete with iridescent ocean blue tiles adorning the walls & sleek white leather lounge seating areas which create a cool and inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of hot spots found in South Beach.
We are very excited about bringing a refreshing vibe and dining experience to the area which we feel will allow our clients to relax, enjoy themselves and just escape for awhile without the need to catch a flight or travel into the city.
Of course, this cosmopolitan lounge would not be complete without the sensual sounds of downtempo-midtempo grooves to set the mood. Bring an open mind as our resident & guest DJ’s provide an eclectic mix of musical flavors that will move your mind, body & soul.
Azul 17 specializes in contemporary authentic Mexican cuisine which essentially means that our recipes are made from scratch staying true to the authentic flavors of Mexico and our Executive Chef, Damian Portuguez, prepares dishes using the latest culinary techniques. We are proud of our vibrant menu and guarantee that you will find many unique Mexican dishes at Azul 17 that you will not find at your garden variety tex-mex restaurant. Some of the contemporary cuisine you will find on the menu include a variety of tableside prepared guacamoles, sushi grade ceviches (citrus marinated seafood cocktails) and delectable small plates served family style. They are complimented by the authentic flavors and original recipes that Chef Damian learned from his grandmother in Mexico. Just like you would find in his grandmothers kitchen our empanadas, tamales, hand-pressed mini tortillas and desserts are made fresh daily in house.
Why Azul 17? “Azul” in English means “blue” which is the color of the Agave plant, the main source of Tequila and “17” is the owner’s life-long lucky number. Azul 17 is the vision of Owner, Julio Soto, a Cuban American and his wife, Lily Soto, who is from the tequila region of Jalisco, Mexico. Their vision has come to life as they incorporate their appreciation for culture and exceptional tastes in food, tequila, fine wines, design and music to create the ultimate dining destination. As true entrepreneurs this is not their first business venture however it is their first personally owned restaurant. For the past 10 years Julio & Lily have worked with other Mexican restaurants to gain experience and prepare for the opening of their own restaurant. They have owned a country western apparel store and still operate Lily's Latin Market on Dobbin Road in Columbia. They have always prided themselves in only using the freshest ingredients and quality products. The Soto's look forward to exposing and educating their guests about the cultivating and distilling of their collection of over 100 premium tequilas. You will find the number "17" throughout our offering, starting with our 17 fresh hand squeezed margaritas & international cocktails. Julio & Lily understand the importance of quality and that is why the Azul 17 Traditional Margarita is guaranteed to be the best in town because we use premium silver tequila, fresh hand squeezed lime juice and organic agave nectar! We also feature an eclectic wine list that has been hand selected by Owner, Julio, to pair beautifully with our cuisine.
As small business owners they are excited to finally provide a new hot spot in their community for dining, dancing, nightlife and a great ambiance for families & business professionals alike. The Azul 17 team of passionate professionals is dedicated to consistently providing our guests with superior service and a memorable experience that will only leave you yearning for more!
Mexican Cuisine our specialty, Tequila Lounge our distinction.
B is one of those neighborhood restaurants that feels like a well-kept secret even though it's been around for years. The ever-changing array of homemade ravioli and seasonal fare impresses.
Classic Cuban food--ropa vieja, pollo adobado--shares space with adventuresome Nuevo Latino dishes like grilled ahi tuna in a spicy orange-chile glaze on Babalu's brief but entertaining menu. It's a fun and energetic restaurant, featuring an enormous portrait of Ricky Ricardo smiling down on diners who perch atop conga-drum bar stools to sip the best mojitos in town.

For tourists, it's a reliable place to dine in Fells Point and the only place to get one of those eat bertha's mussels bumper stickers. For locals, it's a cozy, homey restaurant and bar, and the only place to get Bertha's mussels, which are still worth a trip.
With more than 100 items to choose from, the cold and hot bars offer a wide variety of dishes from Italian to Chinese to American, suiting vegetarians and meatlovers alike. Wide selection of hot and cold sandwiches from our deli menu, featuring Boar's Head products.
Greek food--who knew? No greasy rotating column of anonymous gyro meat in this classy cultured pearl of a restaurant. Yes the food is Greek, but it's the food of a seaside gem on some tiny Aegean isle where dinner was swimming in the ocean only hours ago. Black Olive prides itself on using only truly fresh and organic ingredients, simply prepared to allow the food's own excellence to shine. Best bet is to select from the catch of the day, on ice by the kitchen. Have it grilled and served with the Black Olive's proprietary sauce that enhances both the sweetness and salinity of the exquisitely fresh fish. A little savory bread pudding (made with olive bread) on the side is also advised.
"We deal in 'Freshness.' Fish delivered daily! Fresh soups & salads and a fresh approach to architecture & attitude. Our friendly staff invites you and your friends to stop by and say hello."
It's quite simple: Steamed crabs taste better when eaten while looking at the water, Bo Brooks offers reliably large, meaty (and, alas, pricey) crustaceans at a primo waterfront location with stellar harbor views in both summer (on the spacious outdoor deck) and winter (from the comfortable heated dining room). The crabs are always excellent here. The only other menu items you need concern yourself with are the crab soups--Maryland is spicy and veggie-laden, the cream of crab thick and lumpy with back fin--and the house special gargantuan onion rings. OK, you can also have the soft-shell crab sandwich.
"This Euro-style neighborhood cafe serves the business and court crowd by day, and is a full-blown restaurant at night. Featuring seafood, paninis, vegetarian and sweets. During the live music in the evenings, you can find the local college students and the nearby residents using the wifi, dining with a date on the deck, and of course french pressing their coffee."
Enjoy crab cakes, seafood, and pasta overlooking the Inner Harbor in Fells Point.
