Dancing for Dara A Multi-City Screening to benefit Dara Greenwald
Red Emma's and 2640 co-host a night of independent and experimental film and music to benefit Dara Greenwald, an activist, organizer, artist, and inspiration who has been battling cancer since the summer. Video Data Bank of Chicago has assembled a 75-minute video program composed of work by internationally-recognized artists who have donated their work to raise money for Dara and her partner and primary caregiver, Josh MacPhee. Featured filmmakers include Paul Chan, Jim Finn, Jem Cohen, Ben Coonley, Tara Matiek, Caspar Stracke & Gabriela Monroy, Melinda Stone and Igor Vamos, and Dara herself.
