Et tu, Brute? Theatrical greatness is rooted in the awakening of man's emotional confusion, and the blaring alarm clock for such internal strife is often a question. Just ask Shakespeare's Caesar (or Hamlet, for that matter). Nancy Murray's Asking Questions, directed by Peter Davis and presented by the Baltimore Playwrights Festival, looks to evoke as Shakespeare did in his epics. As a mother braves the disinterment of painful shame and loneliness, a young girl yearns for the security of paternal presence. Murray strives to stimulate inner contemplation to the point of self-reinvention. Get down to Fells Point Corner Theatre this August and ask up an introspective storm. (Evan Tarantino)
