New showing of Cuban-born local artist Lesser Gonzalez Alvarez's work. Alvarez examines the roles of design, labor, and production and their effect on commercial art's common superseding of virtuality over artifice. Included among the pieces are digital renderings, videos, paintings, and sculptures. Gonzalez has been previously exhibited at the Prague Contemporary Art Festival, and Art 42 Basel in Basel, Switzerland, as well as his illustration work as part of Interboro Partners' "Holding Pattern" last summer at MoMA PS1.
