The Baltimore Insight Meditation group meets for a one hour meditation.
Dude, we don’t know about your place of work, but shit is getting crazy around here, what with summer coming and our head honcho leaving and editors having babies, and we could really use some relaxation to combat all the coffee it’s taking us to get our work done. Insight Meditation’s invitation to sit still for an hour sounds more than namaste, and sit still not in the sense of sitting still at your computer because you don’t even have time to look away from the screen, but sit still in the real sense, as in letting your body and mind sit still, letting even your thoughts and emotions sit still, until the world around you finally sits still as well. We promise to breathe deep if you do. (Laura Dattaro)
