Punk rock and karaoke don’t really go well together. At all. The former is about DIY, raw aggression, and saying “fuck you” to structure and authority. The latter is about cheesy lounges, pitch problems, and MIDI-backing tracks to popular music’s most famous—and infamous—tunes. And yet, when these two forces are joined at Liam Flynn’s Ale House, and everyone is belting out the Misfits, the Clash, or the Ramones along with whoever has the mic, you realize you’re having a great fucking time and the fusion of these two ideas somehow works. Just trust us on this one. And if you need a little extra incentive, the event is serving as a fundraiser for the Baltimore Animal Rights Federation and the Riot Folk Collective. Up the punks!
