Yes, child-bearing readers of Baltimore’s Jolliest Free Alternative Weekly, the time of year has returned for you to stand in line and spend money to get portraits of your beloved offspring with the bearded fat man in red bottoms (no, not Rick Ross). Thankfully, the good folks over at the MTA are making this process a little easier. Santa will be arriving at Santa’s Place in the Mondawmin Metro Subway Station to take free pictures while his lovely wife reads holiday favorites. After all the picture and storytelling madness has ensued, take your kid to check out the interactive train garden that has enough bells, whistles, and buttons to break them away from the iPhone gaming sessions. The holiday exhibit—the brainchild of MTA subway employees—is entering its sixth year and will see subsequent visits from Santa and the Mrs. on the Dec. 8 and 15. (Brandon Parker)
