It’s been a little over a month since Ray Lewis and the Ravens crew paraded down Pratt Street through a sea of purple. Today, Pratt Street will be swarmed in a sea of green. Get out the green beads, dust off the shamrock glasses, and pull on those warm sweaters: Baltimore’s 58th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade is here. To help kick off the parade, the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore is hosting its second annual Shamrock Shindig, featuring food trucks, beverages, and the live music of Barleyjuice, a Celtic band from Philly. For the kids, the event presents Shamrock Alley, featuring stilt-walkers and games, not to mention a few strolling leprechauns. The Shindig starts at 11 A.M. and ends at 2 P.M., just in time to catch the beginning of the parade. (Katherine Quinn)
