Fierce Chicks ROCK! Epic Yard Sale

Fierce Chicks ROCK! will be holding its annual Yard Sale to benefit Moveable Feast, a non-profit organization that delivers free, nutritious meals to people living with HIV/AIDS or breast cancer in Baltimore, the five surrounding counties and all of the Eastern Shore. The yard sale will be held at 329 E. 31st St. in Charles Village, one block from the Waverly Farmer's Market. Past sales have included furniture, clothes for every age from infant to adult, shoes, toys, sports equipment, kitchenware and items for every room of the house. For more information, visit

We Say...

There’s that old saying about how one man’s trash is another’s treasure, and as all the thrifters and secondhand afficionados out there can attest, a truer statement was never made—as long as you don’t mind sifting through the stuff that should stay in the trash. So grab your walkman and a new cassette tape, and head over to Charles Village to Team Fierce Chicks ROCK!’s Yard Sale on Saturday. The 2013 Epic Edition promises toys, decor, clothing for all ages, and “lots of shoes,” which is really the most intriguing part for us. Do we need to show up promptly at 7 A.M. to get a matching pair? Every dollar and cent raised at this event will go to Moveable Feast, a nonprofit that delivers free, nutritious meals to people with HIV/AIDS and breast cancer all over the Eastern Shore. Team Fierce will be riding their bikes 140 miles from Ocean City to Baltimore in May to raise awareness for this lovely organization, so show them a little love. (Courtney Cousins)
